Transportation Sexual Assault

Transportation Sexual Assault

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
-- Benjamin Franklin

This kind of stuff really ticks me off: Drudge Report: Scans, Hands, or Fines

Sure, I want to be safe on my flight, but all of this anti-terrorism stuff has gone too far. You can't take pictures of government buildings without being threatened by the police. We increasingly live in a police state.

TSA agents are not even law-enforcement officers. During the Bush administration, "free-speech zones" were set up for protestors. We're seeing the same thing in other areas. Apparently if you purchase an airplane ticket, you also voluntarily give up your constitutional protection against an illegal search.
Just because you want to fly from point A to point B, you are automatically considering to be a terrorist, and subject to sexual assault by the government.

201011111141We're supposed to be flying with our daughter to Salt Lake City for Spring Break, and I've been thinking about what I would do if they decided to pat her down. I won't allow it. We will just not fly. And I'm not sure I want to expose her to the porno-scanners either. Honestly, if things are the way they are right now, we not fly on our spring break or summer vacation, and I know I'm not alone in feeling that way.·

At some point, enough is enough.
