Winter Geocaching
Scenes from around the Wolf River as we were out geocaching yesterday:
Because of the great weather we've had over the break, I've had the chance to get in some geocache hunts. Today we hit a couple of the easier park and grab ones while out for lunch, but the main hunts were in Johnson Park in Collierville. Johnson Park has a great boardwalk that goes out about a mile to the banks of the Wolf River. There are several caches hidden in the woods off the boardwalk with several more just across the river on some newer trails. One of the more interesting searches was around a grove of some really interesting old trees with huge hollow trunks. That's the fun of geocaching, getting out and seeing things that you've been living near, but never knew were there. Last week, I snuck up on a doe as I came over a ridge to the river in a park in Germantown.

I love geocaching too, and I sometimes take a camera with me and make videos about the hunt! It’s like an adventure:
