Now what?

Dear Steve Jobs

Please fix the iPhone's OS. The interface is brilliant. I love the apps that are out for it. I'm constantly buying apps. But I'm getting really tired of having to restore my phone from scratch because the OS will no longer boot after I've tried to install or update an app using the AppStore on the phone. I'm getting really tired of being without a phone in my pocket while I sync my phone to my Mac at work. It now takes around 2 hours to do a backup and a sync. And it's getting worse and worse each time I do it. I have it sync to my work machine because it's on all the time and that's where I receive all my podcasts. I don't run iTunes that often on my laptop. Work is 30 minutes away and now I have a bricked iPhone for the next 3 days, either that or go though the long reinstall today to get it working and then do it again on Tuesday to get my stuff back at work.

It crashed just as I was heading out for several hours, so I had no phone all morning. The commercial demoing the AppStore is nice, but it should come with a disclaimer that you really should never use it. Installing apps and updating apps directly on the phone is completely broken, and you shouldn't do it, at least not with iPhone 2.02 software.
