Perspective on Russia v. Georgia

As I have mentioned in some comments online and to friends, this whole Russia v. Georgia thing is a great example of the effects of us meddling in the affairs of other countries. Watching the U.S. news, you get only a drive-by analysis of the conflict, with none of the footnotes that explain how we got here.

There has been some commentary that this is all a ploy to make McCain look more attractive. If you understand the whole story, it really is setting up Ron Paul to be more attractive. George Washington was absolutely correct when he advised: No Foreign Entanglements.
