Hillarious.

Watched 60 Minutes' pieces with the 2 Democratic candidates. I like Obama. I do. I don't really support some of his ideas, but he seems to be a genuine, real person, unlike his counterpart. On a likability scale, I'd put McCain at the bottom, Hillary just 1 notch above her and Obama way above that.

I think the Messiah factor is getting ridiculous on him though. The 60 Minutes piece talked about him being a complete unknown just a year ago. What? He's been hailed as the 2nd coming since before he got elected to Congress.

So, the Romney drop-out has pretty much killed any chance of a brokered convention, all but assuring McCain the nomination. I think a brokered convention would have been chaos, but it would have been just what the GOP needed. Romney backed out to save the party from that, but in the process, he may have done the opposite.

So... what's the word on who Obama would choose as a running mate?

I saw Charlie Wilson's War over the weekend. Entertaining film. I don't buy into the idea that he was a hero, or that what he did was beneficial to us. The movie hints at the mess that we created, but draws the conclusion that our real mistake was not following through. Our real mistake was getting involved in the first place. His actions directly resulted in the creation of Al Qaida. And it would likely have done so whether or not we had built a few schools over there. After all, we have bases all over the Middle East now.
