So, I have this other posting to finish, but I’m just not there yet, it’s all about how I feel like my time in the wilderness spiritually is coming to an end, but I don’t quite know that I’ve actually arrived anywhere. Maybe I’ll finish that posting, and maybe I won’t. I haven’t decided. I’m making an effort to become more integrated into our church, and I like our Sunday school class, it’s made up up of a pretty diverse group of opinions and backgrounds, but I was kind of hoping to meet more kindred spirits than we have.

The church is starting a small group ministry and they sent out a call for people to volunteer to lead them. I volunteered and attended a 2 week training session with a dozen or so potential leaders, but after the session I found out that there are only 28 people signed up to even be in a group. Problem is that people my age just don’t seem to be involved in church, at least in older churches. The small group ministry is going to end up being another program made up of people in their 50’s and 60’s. Just one of the many reasons that I think we need to plant a new church around here.
