Nothing Useful
OK, I haven't done anything productive today. I have subscribed to some new Podcasts. I'm really looking forward to iTunes 4.9 and it's built in Podcast directory, though I hope their implementation is better than Safari's RSS features.
I have a lot of thinking about my group at camp to do. Usually by this point I have put a great deal of thought into it, I hate that feeling that you get when you aren't prepared. I was afraid that I was going to get that feeling last night at the Door. We didn't have a meeting last week because of Creative Arts camp, so I volunteered to handle everything and ended up using a sermon from Andrew Jones on the Prodigal Son that is really cool and I made some videos to go with it based on songs that helped you to really understand what was going on. We did song slides for the Prodigal Son one summer at camp when I was a teenager. Amazing how much my Sumatanga experience is influencing my ministry here. Bart Styes sent an email to the Bishop welcoming him to the North Ala Conf. and he told him that the most important thing he should know about the conference is that while the head is in Birmingham, the heart is at Sumatanga. So true, so true.
So there was this woman at the Door last night and I decide to be friendly and say hello (being outgoing is totally not my personality) and I introduce myself and she says, yes I've met you before, I've been here three times. Ouch. I hate when that happens and she just totally made me feel like an ass about it.
I'm excited about camp, but I'm not ready I wish I had another week. Moving and all has really eaten up a lot of time. And my free time has really been cut down from taking care of Marianna, but I wouldn't change that for anything. She's really adjusted to our new house really well. We had a few days of adjusting to not messing with the gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, but for now she's settled in.
